Date 9th December Time 5-6 Venue : Trayah Pottery Studio Studio Crawl! Clay is a versatile medium. We use this to our advantage to tell stories of architecture and history using clay. We will conduct demonstration workshops on a ceramic technique called sprigs. Sprigs are moulds made up of plaster or clay. The sprigs are based on designs inspired by historical architectural styles. We will be specifically dealing with the Hoysala style of architecture based motifs. In this workshop, we will talk about sprigs and demonstrate the attachments of motifs on clay cylinders. Through this, we aim to throw light on how architecture inspired ceramic art can be a point if conversation for heritage conservation as well as raising awareness.
