Day 1
Arrival to Zanzibar - Stone Town
Arrive at Zanzibar Airport & meet your tour buddy along rest of the group. We will go to the heart of Stone Town, where our hotel is located.
Zanzibar has a rich history, and it became a centre of trade once it was settled by the Portuguese in the 16th and 17th Century. Zanzibar once held the title of being Africa's major hub of trade before the mainland became more settled and tamed (if Africa could ever be considered tamed). Zanzibar is also known as the 'Spice Island' due to this period when spice was its major trade, followed closely by the slave trade and ivory. Zanzibar still today flourishes with the trade of spices, its most common exports being cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon and pepper.
UNESCO listed Stone Town is rich in history and culture, with a labyrinth of narrow streets, bustling bazaars and ancient buildings. The architecture is a fascinating mix of Swahili, Arab, Persian, European and African styles, testament to the influence that trade brought to the region.

Day 2
City Tour & Spice Plantation
Post breakfast, we will go on a tour of the historic Stone Town and a spice plantation en-route to the beach. You will get the opportunity to see a spice plantation and the process involved in harvesting the perfumed ingredients. Today we take spices for granted, but they were once as precious as gems or gold, with pirates often cruising the coast pilfering ships for their precious spice cargo. Once you've checked into your hotel, spend the rest of the day at leisure on the beachside and perhaps enjoy a dip in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean.
Day 3 Snorkelling & Kayaking
Wake up late (but in time before breakfast ends :P). Post breakfast, we have the beach day. We will provide kayak for a period of 1 hour & snorkelling gear for full day (mask & fins). Explore the Indian Ocean & admire the underwater life. Enjoy sunbathing or opt for more available water sports.
Day 4
Jozani-Chwaka National Park
Have a lazy breakfast at the hotel unless you have opted for early morning Scuba Dive (Very much recommended) Post breakfast we will go for a hike in Jozani - Chwaka National Park. The forest is a natural pharmacy and truly an amazing source of natural remedies. Every plant or tree cures something. The beautiful thing about the Jozani forest tour is that the height of the trees and palms are just outstanding. The place is also famous for rare Red Colobus Monkeys and even harder to spot – Zanzibar Sykes’ monkey, a very rare monkey species unique to Zanzibar. Apart from the Red Colobus Monkeys, you may see Bushbaby, 50 different species of butterflies and 40 species of birds are available. You can go to Indian Ocean for a sunset swim too.
Day 5
Dar Es Salam
Post breakfast, we take a ferry to the Tanzania mainland & visit the biggest city of Tanzania (Dar es Salam). The ferry ride takes about 2 hours. Dar es salam is a majorly a gateway city and the place where locals live & earn their livelihood. We shall visit the local markets and have some time shopping time & also visit the National Museum and House of culture to understand more about the history of Tanzania.
Day 6
Goodbye hugs & drop to airport
