First Drop Theatre brings to you, Yes, And - Core Training in Playback Theatre. This intense, experiential, and creative workshop spans 30 hours (across 4 days) and is based on the syllabus by the Centre for Playback Theatre, USA and comes with a certificate for completion of Level 1.

The workshop equips the participants with the basic skills, values and rituals of Playback Theatre, to experience the various forms and roles within Playback Theatre like those of an actor, musician, and conductor.

A format of improvisational, interactive theatre where the actors use their awareness, spontaneity, creativity, and skill to present an engaging and dramatized retelling of the participant member's story, on-the-spot!
Who can register?
If you are 16+ and interested in improv, expression, spontaneity, creativity and stage craft, you can be a part of this uniquely designed workshop. Also useful for social workers, community workers, arts educators, drama practitioners, Learning and Development professionals, coaches, teachers, and facilitators. Open to people with disabilities.
About the trainers:
Dr. Radhika Jain, Co-founder and Artistic Director of First Drop Theatre, is an Accredited Playback Theatre Trainer from the Centre for Playback Theatre, USA. She is the co-editor of the International Playback Theatre journal and the Secretary (Executive Committee) at the Centre for Playback Theatre, USA. Radhika is a certified Listening Hours Guide. She is a visiting faculty for Playback Theatre at Azim Premji University, Bangalore and the faculty for Playback Theatre at the Applied Theatre India Foundation.
Bejoy Balagopal - writer, actor, director, and co-founder of First Drop Theatre. A graduate of the Leadership Program at the Centre for Playback Theatre, USA, Bejoy brings his expertise in Applied Theatre to diverse settings, creating spaces for dialogue and introspection. Bejoy's poetry has been featured twice at the Thousand Poets for Change event.
