What are the steps involved to recover google account?

Google provides three options to the users to recover their Gmail account. If someone forgets their password then they can reset the password through an alternate email or recovery mobile number or through security questions. • Open Gmail’s login page.
• Enter the email address.
• Click next.
• Then select ‘Forgot Password’.
• You will have to enter a last password that you used to login to this account.
• You can enter it or select ‘Try another way’ option.
• Now the recovery options will appear.
• A window will open asking to send you a code to your recovery mobile number. This phone number is linked to your account.
• You can choose this option and then select how you want to receive code, through text or call.
• Otherwise select ‘I don’t have my phone’.
• Another window will then open asking to send a code to your recovery email.
• You can select this option or click on ‘Try another way’ option.
• If you select email or phone option for recovery then the code sent to you will work as a verification code.
• You will have to enter this code in the provided space.
• After entering the code you will be taken to password reset page.
• You can also opt for security question option. You will have to answer few questions to prove your identity. These are the questions you selected while creating account.
• After answering them correctly the password reset page will open.
• Now user can create a new password and save it.
• Log-in with the new password.
