In the Independence Day address on 15 August 2021, Hon’ble Prime Minister announced the National Green Hydrogen Mission and stated the goal to make India the global hub of Green Hydrogen production and export. Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) accordingly developed the National Green Hydrogen Mission with the objectives of decarbonising major sectors of the economy; contribute to India’s energy independence and serving as an inspiration for the global clean energy transition. The National Green Hydrogen Mission approved by the union cabinet with an initial outlay of Rs. 19,744 crores seeks to evolve a framework for demand creation, support for indigenous manufacturing, Research & Development, pilot projects in emerging areas, and an enabling ecosystem of policies, regulations and standards. The proposed measures are expected to scale up production, use and export of Green Hydrogen and its derivatives.
It is with this background that Smart Energy Magazine is organising a webinar on The National Green Hydrogen Mission- Opportunities & Challenges of this Sunrise Sector on 15th March 2023. The focus of the webinar will be on the National Green Hydrogen Mission and making India the global hub of green hydrogen production and export. The webinar will discuss on the government support, policy and regulation. It will give the participants an overview of the industry application of green hydrogen, its role in decarbonising and opportunities for renewable energy developers. It will give the participants foresight into the emerging application of hydrogen in transportation and mobility industry. The objective of the webinar is also to open doors for networking, communication, collaboration and exchange of ideas with all the stakeholders.
We strongly believe that the Prime Minister’s vision of aatmanirbhar Bharat can only be achieved by electrifying the economy and a combination of renewable and hydrogen is the only way forward.
