Event Description

Objective

Rotary Club of Chinchwad and Rotary Club of Pimpri Elite Jointly releasing Winter Cyclothon 3.0 a third edition of the cyclothon event. This is not a race but just a cyclothon event. All the participants will get finishers medal on completion of the event. There are no prizes to the winners. Rest of the deliverables would be given to the participants during the bib expo. The distance would be of 100, 50 and 20 Kms only. There is no cut off time for now.

Adapting to cycling, we can help to reduce the carbon footprint. We can improve the climate conditions of our planet and avoid global warming. Cycling will keep the cyclist and the environment both healthy and happy. 

Charity

As you know, Rotary is the biggest Charitable organization of the world. We generate funds in our Charitable Trust account and further use it to the betterment of the society and people around us. This project is fund raising event for the Anganwadi near and around PCMC area. These court yard shelters would be refubrished and reapaited with the funds. Which are now lying in shabbles. Funds generated are 100% to be used against such charity.

Date of the event

The event date would be 31st March 2024. There would be no bib distribution on the event day. Flag off would start at 5:00 am in the morning.


 


Terms & Conditions

1. Safety gear is mandatory such as helmet, lights, reflective vests or jerseys with reflective strips.

2. This is a Cyclothon event and not a race. So every participant is expected to take care of their safety at their own risk and riders have to follow all the traffic rules.

3. Though the event organizer will provide all support of Hydration, Medical, Technician, and Crew support, it is expected that if participants have any prior medical condition, they have to take suggestions from their family doctor about participation.

4. Finisher medal and hot served breakfast will be provided after the completion of the designated ride.

5. Bib distribution will be scheduled before the event day, that is, 30th March 2024. Details of the same will be provided on your mail id. Goodie bag, jersey or t shirt will be provided on the bib expo day. There would be no bib distribution on the event day. If you are not able to pick up your kit, you can ask someone to collect on your behalf. This will require your permission letter with your id copy. Signing of the indemnity form is mandatory before collecting the bib and kit.

6. Without bib a participant wont be allowed to participate in the event. There would be no medal or breakfast given with out bib.

7. If the date of the event changes or cancellation, participant can claim refund. There would be no refund due to cancellation for the riders in other circumstances. Once registration is done, it cannot be cancelled or transferred.

8. The organizer has the right to change the Venue, Route, and Event time as per the Municipal Corporation & Police Permission.

9. The designated healthcare provider(Medical Partner) for this event will offer services to participants without any charge until the conclusion of the event. If additional medical care is needed beyond the provided services, requiring admission to an in-patient department (IPD), the participant will be admitted to the nearest hospital. The participant or their relative must adhere to the admission and billing policies of that hospital. Any costs incurred for medical services during the participant's stay at the hospital will be the responsibility of the participant, in accordance with the prevailing policies of that hospital.


Participation Age Criteria

Participation criteria based on completed participant age by March 31st 2024 are as follows:

For the 20km Ride: Participants must be 14 years old or older.

For the 50km Ride: Participants must be 18 years old or older.

For the 100km Ride: Participants must be 18 years old or older.


Cut Off Time

The event has designated cut-off times for different distances:

20km in 1:30 hours

50km in 3:30 hours

100km in 6:00 hours

Participants must complete their rides within these timeframes. In case participants are unable to finish their ride within the specified cut-off time for their chosen distance, the event organisers are authorised to prevent them from continuing.
