About the event:
Sagar Vihar is a hidden gem on the Western shore of Thane Creek. It offers a panoramic view of Thane Creek. There used to be a small port here where hovercrafts used to run. Sagar Vihar Garden Attracts common urban birds. The creek that adjoins the garden is also used by waders such as plovers, curlews and flamingos.
This is the best season for observing migratory birds such as flamingos. The trail will be focused on the biodiversity of the area.
Charges: Rs. 250/- includes, naturalist expertise only. No charges are applicable for kids less than 4 years of age.
The trail is open for all age groups. Children below the age of 12 yrs should be accompanied by at-least one of the parents.
Please note: Transport from station to wetland and back is not included in the trail charges. Also, please reach meeting point on time as, tide and time doesn't wait for anyone :-)
