Vipul Singh Verma comes from a family of traditional folk singers and received an intuitive flair and gusto for Indian classical music from his father, who is a singer of folk music in a small town in Uttar Pradesh. Gradually the inheritance of music claimed Vipul and he started his training in a variety of music traditions. However, two genres become particularly etched on his voice, the Indian classical and the Western Rock music. Vipul inquisitively initiated his learning for details of music . After gaining a commendable hold on these forms, he began his amateur career by singing solo and then later forming his own music band- "Mrityunjaya". "Mrityunjaya" was formed in 2014 and performed across several locations in India mostly in the styles that Vipul had learned, leaving audiences swayed with his characteristic mixing of the arresting rhythm and poise of Indian classical and the rapidity and stridently powerful appeal of the western rock music.
