Create/Enhance user experience for your apps
UX design is one of the most promising jobs in the current trend with job growth up to 30% year-on-year (according Glassdoor). ISO 9241-210 defines user experience as "a person's perceptions and responses that result from the use or anticipated use of a product, system or service".
This workshop will help you to create nice user experience designs for your product. It will take you through the journey on UX design by covering principles, fundamentals of User Experience, Usability Testing, Wireframing and prototyping.
You will learn how to create great designs through case-studies and real world examples with group activities and hands-on sessions.
The training cost includes: exercises, lunch and tea/coffee.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD):
Laptop (Windows or Mac) with Pencil (http://pencil.evolus.vn/Next.html) installed on it. If you don't have your own laptop, you can tag along with other participants.

Session 1 – Let’s get our acts together (10:00 - 11:30)
- Signifiers and Affordances
- Introduction to UX
- UX Design principles
- Group Activity - Let's do it together - Try to find out what's wrong with these UI
- Discussion - How do we use the web - shattering myths of an "average" user
- Designing for the end user and not for developers/designers
- Designing for form factor - Tips and Tricks with focus on UI for Mobile devices

Session 2 – Personas and Wireframing (11:45am - 1:15pm)
- Personas - Know your end users
- Wireframing
- Activity - Designing a wireframe by hand for an enterprise application
- Group Activity - Usability Testing of the wireframe designed by others
- Activity – Transforming the wireframe to suit to Mobile devices

Session 3 – Deep Dive into User Experience (2:15pm - 4:15pm)

- Using wireframing tools, e.g., Pencil (free), Invision (free)
- Examples of designing in Pencil and Invision
- Activity - Designing a wireframe using Pencil
- Group Activity - Usability Testing of the wireframe designed in Pencil by others
- What’s wrong with the way Navigation is designed?
- User Experience for non-GUI, e.g., CLI, documentation, logs, alerts, error messages, etc.
