The Agile Manifesto is one of the main documents in IT field. Over the time it has been interpreted countless times. Unfortunately, quantity is not quality. Reading it without context has constantly generated myths and minsunderstangins that are advocated with great passion. In this talk we will revisit the Agile Manifesto and discuss some of created ideas that are worth destroying.

About Speaker:

Eduardo Espinheira, QAValue - Senior Consultant

With over 25 years of experience in various industries, Eduardo Espinheira has built a career in IT field that has enabled him to hold positions such as Project Manager, Business Manager, IT Recruiter, Support Architect, Business Analyst, Process Improvement Manager and Consultant. His consultancy work has allowed him to specialize in applying best practices in more than 90 companies across different sectos. Since 2015, Eduardo has been an Adjuct Assistant Professor at the School of Technology and Management if Polytechnic Institute of Porto and in 2016 he became a Gest Lecturer at Porto Business School, where he teaches in the areas of Agile and Project Management

We will explore how to transform experiences and knowledge into practices that truly make a difference in the world of software quality.

About Speaker:

Paulo Oliveira, QAE at Mindera

With 18 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Paulo Oliveira has progressed from having no knowledge of the field to working on global-scale projects. In addition to Mindera, Paulo has worked at companies like EPSON, Linx, and Samsung, having worked with frontend, backend, mobile, and desktop testing, both manual and automated. Paulo has also led QA teams, consistently aiming at career development and technical improvement of the teams. Paulo has been a professor at universities and in technical courses on software quality and software development, and over the years, he has served as a mentor both within and outside of companies. In 2024, he created the Expert QA Academy, a school offering courses and mentoring for QAs.
