Session #1: What is a Chapter and How Can It Be Important for Software Quality Culture?

With the advancement of new methodologies in the software market and mainly in reestructuring based on the digitalization of organizations, many models and team formats have emerged. Originating from the Spotify model, which operates with roles distributed across all functional areas, multidisciplinary teams, and promotes sharing, Chapters have emerged to unite purposes and be a disruptive solution across silos. But does everyone know what a Chapter means and how it can help roles that perform the same function to increase their knowledge and support each other even if they are on different teams? And what does software quality have to do with it, and how can it benefit from a Chapter? What roles are within a Chapter, and how can you create one within your company?

About Speaker:

Karoline Bechuetti, QA Lead at Worten

Karoline has been working in technology field for 11 years, starting her career as an apprentice at IBM, where she had the opportunity to develop in the area of software quality. Over her 9-year career, Karoline has worked for various companies and currently works at Worten, where she is involved in creating processes, structuring software quality in projects, mentoring, team leadership, creating and controlling metrics, implementing best practices in software quality, selecting and hiring candidates. Karoline is an enthusiast of agile methods, a certified ScrumMaster (CSM®️) and Product Owner (CSPO®️) with knowledge in Scrum, Design Sprint, Design Thinking, Lean, and Kanban.    

Session #2: Databrick Tests - Manual and Automated

Databricks is a unified data analytics platform that facilitates data engineering, data science, and machine learning. It is built on Apache Spark and offers a collaborative interface for analysts, engineers, and data scientists. Testing in Databricks involves ensuring that notebooks, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines, machine learning models, and other components work as expected.

About Speaker:

Jorge Júnior, QA Lead at DEUS

Jorge Junior began his journey as a web systems development intern at the CPD (Data Processing Center) of the University of São José in Rio de Janeiro. In 2017, he transitioned to the field of Software Quality, becoming a Junior Test Analyst at Accenture, where he was already involved in Test Automation. At Accenture, he had the opportunity to work on various projects, also serving as a QA Lead, implementing processes, Ways of Working (WoW), guidelines, and automated testing frameworks (both functional and non-functional), using tools like Cypress, Selenium, JMETER, and K6, integrated with Azure and JIRA. In 2020, he accepted an offer to relocate to another country to work as a QA Lead at DEUS, focusing on assisting new QAs, supporting the team in daily tasks, implementing new processes, providing career guidance, and suggesting improvements for the team.
