The Elemental Solo

Riddham Kathak Schhol, Bangalore brings to you 'The Elemental Solo' to mark the upcoming International Dance Day 2023. The concert features Kathak solos by  Smt. Sampada Pillai, (Founder and Artistic Director- Riddham and a disciple of late Guru Dr. Rohini Bhate ji), Smt. Niveditha Srinivas ( Artistic Director - Kala Sthuthi and a disciple of Vid. Bharathi Vittal ji) and Shri Nikhil Ravi Parmar ( Performer, Teacher & Choreographer, Independent Artist, Founder- Ravi Yog and a disciple of Guru Smt. Shama Bhate ji) . Two short presentations will be performed by disciples of Riddham - a tarana in Raga Yaman composed by the Kathak legend Late Padma Vibhushan Guru Pt. Birju Maharaj ji and Raga Sagar a composition of Late Guru Dr. Rohini Bhate ji which is a choreographic delight in nine ragas intricately woven together to give an exhilarating aesthetic experience ! The three soloists will present their respective Gurus repertoire in a traditonal format with equal importance to technique and abhinaya. Eminent Kuchipudi Guru and Artistic Director of Kuchipudi Parampara Foundation, Bengaluru, Guru Smt. Deepa Narayanan Shashindran will preside as the esteemed Chief Guest.
