Anjali Rajgopal | Identity Advocate & Entrepreneur: Anjali Rajgopal headed the E-Commerce Division of Indian Terrain and also managed her own PR Firm, touché PR. Using her own story as a pivot, she injects her sense of humor to ease people into confronting issues of identity, acceptance, and reconciliation with life and circumstance.
D. Indumathi | Scientist & High Energy phenomenologist: D. Indumathi is a Particle Physicist working at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai (IMSC). She is currently involved in understanding the properties of subatomic particles called neutrinos, and is part of an ambitious effort to build a neutrino detector in an underground observatory in India.
Nayantara Narayanan | Independent Journalist: Nayantara Narayanan is an independent journalist. She has worked as a news producer for CNBC-TV18 and as a reporter and editor with online publications covering topics such as health, science and environment. She has won a Ramnath Goenka award for her reporting on the 2015 Tamil Nadu floods.
Uma Vangal | Film Professor, Critic & Gender Activist: Uma Vangal is an affiliated scholar at Kenyon College, Ohio and an Adjunct Faculty at Asian College of Journalism teaching Film, Gender and Culture. Her film ‘Akku Leela’ aided Supreme Court to rule in favour of two Dalit women whose struggle she had documented.
Vaishali BK | Educator & Active Parent: Vaishali is a high school Biology teacher with experience across education boards in India. Passion towards inclusive education prodded her to do her diploma in learning disabilities and she has worked closely with differently-abled children. She blogs about early learning and active parenting.
Sindhoor Pangal | Canine Behaviourist: Sindhoor Pangal is a canine behaviourist and an educator. She is India’s representative for Pet Dog Trainers of Europe and the founder of BHARCS, a canine education academy. She is also passionate about studying the ethogram of free ranging dogs.
Performances:
The Spasht | Acapella Band: The SPASHT is an acapella band that started as a five girls team that jammed over cafes in Chennai. They have performed at Carnatic Network, Motta Maadi Music & Dussehra festival at Samayapuram temple. Their main motto is to develop interest over Carnatic music and explore other genres.
Team Anartana | Dance Group: ANARTANA is a dance team formed by a group of passionate and like-minded young women in Chennai. Combined with spirit and dedication towards the art form, their creative expression through dance is dynamic yet charming, and alluring yet awakening. The team was founded by Simran Sivakumar.

TEDxNapierBridgeWomen will take place on December 8th at Anna University and will feature a curated lineup of diverse speakers spanning industry, origin, age, and experience. The goal of this event is to help girls and women connect in an environment that inspires the expression of unique points of view, and have dialogue that can open minds and change opinions.
TEDxNapierBridgeWomen is a movement celebrating the remarkable achievements of girls and women in Chennai and in the wider community across India. It is the only TEDxWomen event organised in the city.
