In the world of spices, India is at the center and at India's center is the bustling bazaar of Khari Baoli. To truly admire this experience, one has to bring all senses to play. The spectrum of notes in the flavors of spices, the texture, the fragrance and a taste of their culinary peaks will make this experience wholesome for you. To visualize the thick history that precedes the market, we will start with contextualizing the Spice Market in Old Delhi. We will travel back in time to experience how the outsiders were drawn to India by the virtue of spices, how they came first to trade, then to rule and what role does Khari Baoli geographic location play with respect to its extensive markets and trading hubs. We will walk a verbal time lapse of kings and their kingdoms from the beginning of India's birth to 21st Century. Know your Experience Leader- Priya

She is a physics and literature student who grew up frequenting Khari Baoli, the spice market in Old Delhi, with her dad. She has been cooking since she was fifteen, which led her to explore the unique stories and histories of spices and herbs from around the world.

Her areas of study have also helped her analyse the colonial and post-colonial trades of these spices, and the routes that were used to transport these aromatic essentials. She has been conducting experiences in Khari Baoli for over three years. She loves film photography and engaging in debates from a feminist perspective.
