SUMMER CAMPS @ EMPOWER CAMPS - 2019

A unique outdoor survival experience in a remote residential camp amidst nature and pollution free environment. In this camp children return home with bags of confidence and self discovery. Their self-esteem and  self-belief is enhanced.

Fees- 6499/-per child ( Fees include, Drop and Pick from Mumbai and Pune to Kolad and stay & meals  7th Lunch to9th Lunch)

 Confidence Building
Developing confidence is an important part of growing up. We build self-confidence in children through fun-filled but challenging activities such as Zipline, Burma Bridge, Commando Crossing, Crossing the Wall, Rappelling etc. Besides confidence they also enhance their self-esteem, self-belief and self-worth. These activities make children discover their hidden strengths.
Rural Exposure & Community Services

An exposure to rural life makes children aware of the peculiar environment in which their village-counterparts live in. The children take a bullock card ride to the village and are shown a well, visit a school, clean the temple, experience hands on grinding masala on stone & cooking on chullha, see various aspects of village life and then sit on the floor to enjoy a village – lunch.

Life-skills and Adventure
Life skills are behaviors used appropriately and responsibly in the management of personal affairs. They are a set of human skills acquired through thrilling and exciting outdoor and adventure activities which are beautifully linked to real life situations. We have a large number of such activities including White water rafting, Artificial wall climbing & rappelling, trekking, rifle shooting, cycling, Lake crossing etc.
Environment
To help the present day child realize the importance of ‘saving the earth’ we expose them to some environmental activities such as kitchen gardening, rain water harvesting, collage making etc.
Creativity
Creativity is the impetus behind any given act of creation be it inventions, compositions, etc. We foster creativity through activities like flag making, hut making, Launch Kraft, etc.

Survival Techniques
Learning to manage & sustain themselves under adverse circumstances, is another challenge our campers face. We allow them to trek, pitch their own tents, cook their own food and spend a night out under the stars – an experience they don’t ever forget. 
Socializing
In the evenings the children are engaged in sports, drama, skits, some informal activities, camp fire preparation, creation of the Campus News Paper & ME TIME.
Activities mentioned are just a few of a large repertoire of activities we have in our kitty.
Please note that a day will be planned keeping in mind the campus mood, weather conditions and availability of resources. Every day will be new with different activities, learning’s and experience.

Our camp

We are located off KOLAD on Mumbai Goa Highway (Maharashtra, India). The resort is sited on a sprawling 50 acres of scenic, pollution free land with a lake on one side and a hill on the other. It is slightly elevated and has River Kundalika flowing close to it(10 kms away). This makes it an ideal location for adventure and outdoor activities.

Our campsite is approx 105Km from Pune (90 Kms. from Chandni Chowk) and 140 kms from Mumbai. For further details and map please visit our website www.empowercamp.com

Travel incuded

     It takes approx 4 hrs from Mumbai via Mumbai Goa Highway/ Mumbai Pune expressway- Pali road to reach us. From Pune it takes approximately 3 hours via Chandani Chowk

     Children will be traveling by AC vehicles from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai / Pune to the camp & back.
     Day 1 to start from Mumbai / Pune early in the morning at 0600 hours & reaching camp at 1000 /1100 hours

     Day 3 starting from the Camp by 1400 hours & reaching  Mumbai / Pune before 1900 hours

     Pick & drop points will be the same. Once we have all the bookings in place, we will intimate nearest possible pick up/ drop points for children

Accommodation

     At our facility we have 12 Air Cooled Swiss Cottage Tents, 2 AC Dormitories, 8 AC Swiss Cottage Deluxe Tents & 6 AC cottages to accommodate our guests.

     Children will be accommodated either in AC Dormitories or Air Cooled Swiss Cottage Tents.

     Boys & girls are accommodated separately with adequate care taken.

     Beddings will be provided; children need to carry their own toiletries & medium size towel.

     Attached western style toilets & shower rooms in all the accommodation

Safety & Security

     Camp area is completely fenced with round the clock security in place
     We have trained/ certified trainers to conduct all the activities
     Equipment used for adventure is of high safety standards.
     First aid facilities are available at all activity areas with staff trained to administer first aid.
     Two non MBBS doctors are available 4 kms. from campsite.
     We have arrangements for medical emergencies with Gandhi Nursing Home at Kolad, 15 Kms. away. We are equipped with trained staff and provision to transport patients, if required. Stretchers & wheelchair are available on site.

Weather

You can’t expect the weather to be any better than the rest of Maharashtra.
But since the camp is far from any pollutions & habitation, mornings & evenings are cooler. Care is taken to schedule activities under trees or indoors when the sun is bright.

Meals
Veg & Jain Food Buffet meals are served at fixed hours.  The children specific menu does not only cater for their taste but is also planned well in terms of balanced nutritional value, weather conditions and variety.

Bournvita, limewater, kokams sharbat are provided throughout the day and during the activities to keep the campers hydrated.

Drinking water is filtered twice before it reaches the campers for drinking and is available at all activity areas in abundance.
