Startup Weekend Mumbai by Google and Techstars

The Start-up Weekend by Google and Techstars is the world’s biggest start-up competition. Established in more than 135 countries, this competition has worked with more than 2,10,000 entrepreneurs. After more than 2 years, we're finally making a comeback to Mumbai! 

Everyone has game-changing ideas today that could potentially affect a whole industry. However, due to lack of knowledge, resources, or network, most falter when it comes executing these plans. We are on a mission to bridge the gap between ideation and execution.

The Start-up weekend is a 54-hour event that will start on Friday, 5th October, 5 p.m and end on Sunday, 7th October, 9 p.m. 

Day 1 will be full of networking, filtering ideas and team building. All the participants get a chance to pitch their ideas and network over dinner to form teams before they get to work.

Day 2 is going to be about learning from the mentors and brainstorming to better their ideas.

Day 3 is about competing and presenting. There will be a panel of 5 judges that teams will present to and at the end of the event the participants get a chance to network with the mentors.

Over the course of the three days, participants will be taught everything there is to know about starting their own business from scratch. This includes learning how to pitch their ideas, building an app prototype, incorporate technology to suit the dream they aim to achieve, teamwork and even learning how to delegate authority.

On 5th, 6th and 7th October, participants will come to the IIDE campus in Andheri (https://goo.gl/maps/FZ6DnviB1FJ2).  From the period between these dates, the participants will get to learn, create and validate their business idea, all the while competing for prizes in kind worth more than Rs. 1,00,000.
