Viswanathan Anand Spotlight Lecture

Spotlight presents the next glorious addition to the lineup. India’s first Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand needs no introduction, as he is often said to be solely responsible for the growing popularity of chess in the country. The unassuming “Tiger of Madras” is a whopping five-time world champion, making his story one among the legends. Arguably one of the greatest chess players of all time, it was no surprise when the recipient of the inaugural Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award also went on to become the first-ever sportsperson to receive the Padma Vibhushan.
