Kapil Awasthi grew up in a family that served the country's armed forces, and that makes the field of cybersecurity not only a natural career choice, but also offers a vantage point to his entire approach towards how this subject must be perceived and practiced.
Kapil has been an ardent cybersecurity practitioner for more than 2 decades, wherein he has been exposed to clients across verticals and geographies globally, participating in tactical and strategic initiatives. He has delivered hitherto unprecedented success in the various hats he wore - be it that of a hands-on security engineer, team lead, manager, or that of Presales and Sales Leadership with globally acclaimed cybersecurity products and services companies. Kapil is a firm believer that the domain of cybersecurity needs to be stirred from its very roots, and that there is a tremendous scope for the intervention of an Innovation-centric, Outcome-centric and a Common-sensical mindset, so that customers can have a sense of control over their destiny in the context of cybersecurity.
Democratizing the SoC is his current passion project. He believes that SoC should be at the very nerve centre of the security strategy of every business whether large, medium or small. He is executing his vision to make SoC affordable for every customer, so that they can be ahead of their adversaries and manage their risks with confidence. To this effect, he is building and leading a team based on four competencies - Defend, Hack, Audit & Program - which lend his approach to participating in the game cybersecurity an unparalleled uniqueness.
Kapil is also a mentor and a life coach, helping people untangle their minds to live fulfilling and enriched lives, both in their professional and personal contexts.
