About SMC:

Startup Master Class (SMC) is a flagship event of the IIT Kanpur Alumni Association, supported by organizations like Niti Aayog, Startuo India, IITK Incubation centre, eCell, and organized along with the other IITs and IIMs.

Fostering and nurturing the budding entrepreneurs, it brings together startups, mentors and investors to build interactions and strengthen the network within the entrepreneurial community.

SMC Mumbai 2019:

At Mumbai we are hosting the 17th edition of the SMC on 25th May 2019, having successfully organized the past events at Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kanpur and Patna.

With its theme as Build-Innovate-Grow (BIG), the SMC at Mumbai will have theme tracks from the FinTech industry, MediaTech business and fascinating stories of successful entrepreneurs from different fields. It will also host workshops on these tracks.

One of the most liked part of the SMC had been the 'One-on-One' sessions, where there is a face-to-face discussion with Angels, VCs and CEOs. Just pitch your idea effectively and get access to the potential investor.

'SMC Select' is another major attraction of SMC. It's a stage where startups present their ideas to a panel of renowned VCs and Angel investors. Besides the support of Mentors and investor network, one can win support packs from organizations like Google, Intutit and others.

There are also challenges and Hackathons proposed to the developers, students and the startups.
