Known and loved for her endearingly honest voice and soulful playing, Indo-American singer, flautist and composer, Rasika Shekar’s music is a vibrant confluence of diverse musical worlds, rooted in Indian classical music.
Her distinctive sound as a singer and flautist has led her to an impressive list of collaborations including John- McLaughlin, Shankar Mahadevan, Shankar Ehsaan Loy, Ustad Ghulam- Ali Khan and many others. Rasika has also been a playback singer for Bollywood films such as 2 states , Kill Dil , Katti Batti, Love Games. She has featured on shows such as MTV Coke Studio, Judge on SaReGaMa and Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Rasika graduated from the Berklee College of Music with a degree in performance & production and has delicately nurtured and crafted her sound that allows her to flow through genres effortlessly.

Narendra Kusnur has been a journalist for 35 years, specializing in covering of music. His articles have appeared in numerous publications, including Mid-Day, The Hindu, Hindustan Times, Music Plus and Seniors Today.
Kusnur has also had a two year stint with EMI Music India, handling the Indian music and Warner Music repertoire. At Reliance Retail, he headed training for their lifestyle products division, including books and music.
He writes on all forms of Indian and international music, besides appearing in conferences and webinars. Recently, he presented a series on the basics of jazz for NCPA Mumbai.
