Join us on our expert-guided shorewalk through this dynamic habitat. Peer into tidepools and discover vibrant sea sponges, delicate sea anemones, and ingenious hermit crabs making homes in discarded shells. Look keenly and you might just spot well camouflaged sea stars, graceful feather stars, and even an occasional octopus.
Unlike Mumbai's crowded beaches, Mandwa's rocky shore offers a serene sanctuary for these fascinating creatures. Learn about their unique adaptations and behaviours, and develop a deeper appreciation for the hidden wonders of this coastal ecosystem.

For those travelling from Mumbai:
You can either meet our educators at Gateway of India at 3:00 pm or meet the group directly at Mandwa Beach at 4:30 pm. The walk from the ferry to the starting point will take 15-20 mins.
Ferries you can take:
Gateway of India: 3:30 pm (Maldar Ferry, Rs. 250)
Mandwa Jetty: 7:00 pm (Maldar Ferry, ₹ 250)
Things to note:
1. All participants must be over 15 years old.
2. Wearing flip-flops is not advised as we will be walking on rocks.
3. No handling of any animal is allowed.
4. Please wear a cap and carry water to keep yourself hydrated.
Shorewalks are always at the mercy of the weather. Kindly bear with us if this leads us to reschedule the event.
Terms & Conditions:
- A shorewalk is a natural trail conducted in both sandy and rocky habitats. We require all participants to physically be able to walk a distance of approximately 1.5 km over a period of 1.5 hours.
- Unless the event is cancelled or called off by the organisers, tickets once booked are non-refundable, non-transferable and will not be adjusted against any other shorewalk.
- The organiser does not take the responsibility for the loss or theft of any personal belongings or any injury that the ticket holder may accrue at the event. Basic first-aid will be provided by the Resource Person.
- Smoking, drinking or other forms of intoxication are strictly prohibited during the shorewalk.
- Inappropriate behaviour of any kind by a participant shall lead to eviction from the shorewalk.
- We recommend that you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the starting time.
- On the above terms, the organiser reserves the sole right of admission to each event.
- In case of adverse weather conditions, the event organiser has the right to reschedule the shorewalk.
