This course is appropriate for anyone who has authority to negotiate or vary the terms of any arrangement; indeed any detail on price, timing, priority, specification or employment can benefit. Our industry experience and training cover all sectors of commerce, industry and corporate negotiation.
OBJECTIVE:
To provide participants an opportunity to experience the Scotwork negotiating skills development learning methodology in a refreshingly different and insightful way.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience (minimum 4, maximum 6) necessarily consists of senior professionals with business experience, in job roles that have a high negotiating intensity.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS MASTERCLASS
The 180-minute session covers the following:
1. Introduction (10 – 15 mins)- asking the audience about their negotiating challenges – this is recorded on the flip chart.
2. The audience is split into 2 teams and given a real-life business case/conflict that they will negotiate. They get 30-40 minutes to prepare. They then negotiate in teams for 20-25 minutes and the session is recorded live.
3. At the end of the allotted time, the negotiation is stopped, irrespective of whether a deal is achieved or not.
4. Participants get a break and reassemble for the Replay session. Here they get to see themselves on TV and review what they did - some things are done well, some not so well. Their approach is analyzed and alternates explored to deliver superior outcomes. Several learning points come out - that will be related to their business environment and challenges. (25-30 minutes)
5. Conclusions – 10-15 minutes. Here participants get a chance to see if they have found answers to the challenges they had highlighted
