Sandhan Valley Trek

The valley is located near the toughest range trek and bhandar dara region. The base village is Samrad the best way to get to Sandhan valley or Samrad village is private vehicle as the connectivity by public transport is very low.

The valley is magnificent is a feat for the eyes. The gorge gates narrow and boulders get bigger as are proceeds in the valley. At one point the only way to go ahead is rappelling. It takes about 7 to 8 hours of trekking to get in and out of Valley of Shadows

The trek to valley is definitely challenging and requires high level of endurance. This trek is a must for all adventurous people.

09:30 Start the trek

12:00 Lunch Break (packed lunch)

16:30 Reach base & tea and pitch tents

20:00 Have dinner.

21:00 Light Out

06:00 Wakeup Call

06:30 Tea & Breakfast

11:30 Reach Samrad

12:00 Start return journey to Pune

17:00 Arrival at Pune – Lunch en route

Mandatory

1) Water 2 liters or more

2) Good Rucksack with rain cover

3) Personal Medicines if any

4) ID Proof

5) Non disposable plate, spoon & bowl.

6) Bedding (Carry mat + Sleeping Bag)

1) Dry foods like: Chikki, Chocolates and cakes etc.

2) Extra Pair of clothes & sleepers/ floaters

3) Rain protection / wind cheater/ cap / scarf as per the weather.
