Safe-A-Thon

The ‘Our Road, Our Safety’ campaign has been launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Karnataka, Sri Siddaramaiah, with a view to promote road safety and ensuring that citizens can travel safely across the city. The initiative aims to raise awareness about the importance for road safety among the public.

Road Safety is not the responsibility of law enforcement agencies only; every road user plays a crucial role in making roads safer and more user-friendly. To spread this message, the Bengaluru Transport Department, in collaboration with the Karnataka State Police and Bengaluru Traffic Police, is organizing Safe-A-Thon, a Walk-Run-Cycle event on 1st March 2025.

Participants will not only have the opportunity to showcase their endurance, but they will also carry forward the important message of road safety for themselves, their families, relatives and friends. Our goal is to engage as many city residents as possible in this cause. Join us in spreading awareness about Road Safety. The event is open to people of all age groups.

Event Type: Walk/Run/Cycle

Date: Saturday, 1st March 2025

Distance: 5km (Scenic route around Cubbon Park, High Court and Vidhana Soudha)

Reporting Time: 5.00 AM (Flag off: 6:30am)

Venue: Sri Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru

Registration: Free of cost (Registration is mandatory for better planning of logistics)

Participants will get: T-shirt, Cap, Medal, Certificate and Breakfast.

(T-shirts and Caps will be distributed between 5.00 - 6.00am)

Hydration: Adequate points on the route to refill your water bottle.

Commuting: Participants are encouraged to use the public transport options (Metro and BMTC) to avoid any inconvenience at Parking.

Attractions: You may witness the street play at some corners along with some fun engagement activities on the stalls. Enjoy excellent warm up session before the flag off.
