SAFE KIDS CYCLE CARNIVAL

Safe Kids Cycle Carnival On May 6, 2017, from 5.00 am to 9.00 am, to create awareness on the dangers of speeding, especially amongst children, youth and the two wheeler riders, which could help reduce crashes and injuries and to create awareness on how to manage speed. Various activities will be undertaken by Safe Kids Foundation during the carnival. The carnival proposes to involve traffic police, youth groups and FedEx team members, volunteers and their families, approximately 500 participants will be enthusiastically participating in creating awareness. Chief Authorities from the local Municipal Corporation and Traffic Police will be invited as guests to pledge for the cause as ambassadors to promote road safety. Participants will ride for approximately 24 kilometers, along Pashan SUS Road to Pashan Circle to Hanuman Mandir to (Hotel Fish Land) Maratha Mandir to Kothrud via Pune University road and back.

The venue will have 4 to 5 booths where cyclists will play games, take quiz on road safety, become aware of riding defensively, one of the booths will have safety wall, where the participants will write messages/ slogans on speeding, sign the declaration and pledge for slowdown and an opportunity will be given to take safies, especially on slowing down.

At the assembly point, Tandem Cycling for children will be arranged to understand balancing and speed synchronization, Traffic Police will be invited to demonstrate operations road safety related gadgets and other information to create awareness regarding the new precautionary measures undertaken by the traffic police to curb crashes and prevent deaths due to crashes.
