Rupin Pass Via Chanshal Pass

In this trek, we cover the Chanshal pass. We start our trek from Narkanda towards Rupin via Chanshal pass. This makes our itinerary different from the rest. Chanshal connects Dodra Kwar village to Rohru. It is at an altitude of 14830 feet.

Trekkers get well acclimatized at Camp in Narkanda 7890 feet. Next day at Chanshal pass 14830 feet. Trek goes through Nawar Valley well known for Apple orchards, Pabbar valley, Rupin valley, Sangla valley and finally Sutlej valley. Magnificent lush green forest, Wooden bridges, Traditional villages, Scenic waterfalls, River, Green Alps, and Glacier bridge.

Day 01 - Check in at Camp in Narkanda near Tani Jubbar Lake. Here we will meet our other trekker's team, Support team and brief about the trek.

Day 02 - A scenic trek to Sidhpur. Its 4km easy trek. From Sidhpur we will take the Jeep drive to Larot. Larot village is the last village towards Chanshal pass. From Larot we will hike up to Chanshl pass. Camp at Chanshal pass.

Day 03 - Trek will go to Dodra village. One of the most beautiful traditional village in the valley. On the way to Jakha we will have our lunch. Homestay at Jakha and interact with locals and listen to some old tales.

Day 04 - The day when you will be out of network and be in the lap of nature. Wooden bridges, shepherd and their whistles will make a melody in your soul. We will cross the tree line and stay at Dhandhers thach. View of Rupin water fall and many other small water falls all around the camp. Calm rupin river on the side of camp.

Day 05 - Lets see the Rupin waterfall closely. Hike up to Upper waterfall. A relax day. Roam around the valley and spend quality time there to get ready to cross the Rupin pass.

Day 06 - After healthy breakfast at campsite we will start our trek to Rupin pass. Rupin the beautiful pass will appear after a couple of hours. After rupin pass you will enter in the Sangla valley. We will do camp at Ronti khad.

Day 07 - From Ronti khad we will reach Sangla. Sangla the hidden beautiful setup of Baspa valley.

 From Sangla one can take Cab or HRTC bus to respective places or those who want to stay at Sangla can stay.
