Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club is organising Puri Beach Marathon 2nd edition on 8.1.2023.
There are two categories of events:
21.097 km Half Marathon and 7 km run.
Prize money:

Participation fee: Rs 499 for Half Marathon (minimum age 18 years)
and Rs 249 for 7 km run

Starting of event:
The Half Marathon will be flagged off at 7 AM and 7 km will be flagged off at 7.30 AM.
Make sure that you reach at the start point well in advance to collect your race T-shirt and BIB number.
Your time will be counted from the flag off time (7AM) even if you start later.
To be considered among elite runners category please submit your best timing certificate of reputed run for half marathon
Running course:
You have to run along the coast of Bay of Bengal on the sands from Hotel Sterling Resort to Balihaharachandi and back.
All the participants will get complimentary event t-shirt, refreshment.
Finishers will get finisher medal and digital certificate.
The start point is beach near Sterling Resort.
There will be energy stations at 3.5km 7 km and 10.55 U-Turn point, 14, 17.5 km.

How to reach start point :
Choice 1: You can reach the last point of Puri beach by taking diversion after Malatipatpur on the new Puri Bypass road to Reach the last point,the round about on the beach. From here you can walk along the beach towards sterling for about 700 metres , Cross the Mangala River on boat to reach the start point just after the river.
Choice 2: Further go towards Sterling, park your vehicles near sterling and cross the river on foot to reach start point.
Choice 3: take diversion from Mangalaghat towards Brahmagiri Road for 5 km, take diversion on two lane IDCO Road to reach the end on Samuka beach on opposite side of sterling, walk about 300 metres to reach start point and you don't have to Cross any river.
