After the fall of the Maratha Empire in 1818 to the British, they started establishing a new city in the European architecture from 1820 onwards where their makeshift Cantonment was since 1818. This place later went on to be called as Pune Camp. Join us to explore the Colonial Heritage of Pune on this Heritage Walk as we look at some of the oldest surviving buildings around and listen to their interesting stories.
We will be covering Ritz Hotel, 0 Stone, GPO, St. Pauls Church, Ohel David Synagogue, The Place, Edward Library-Cowasjee Dinshaw Hall, Kayani Bakery & Victory Theater.
*All places will be shows from the outside only
