Printers' Premiere League aka PPL 2017 by BMPA~MMS and powered by Toyo Ink

Rules & Regulations

1.  Each team may bring a maximum 9 players including substitutes. A team will consist of 7 players only who will be nominated before the toss.

2.  Each innings will be limited to six (6) overs only during which there will be no break.

3.  No bowler will be allowed to bowl more than two overs. The balls to be used will be the ones provided by the officials. No choice will be granted.

4.  Batsman will be allowed to bat till their individual score reaches 25 runs and then will be retired not out (24 runs and a maximum of six runs will be allowed).

5.  There will be a restriction on the bowlers’ run-up as also on the distance between the wicket-keeper and the wickets.

6.  Once a team starts playing its match, the players of that team cannot be replaced. Substitution will be permitted only in case of injury. However the substituted players cannot bowl or bat.

7.  It would be compulsory for the players to wear abdomen guards.

8.  No under-arm bowling will be allowed.

9.  Wide ball rule as per limited overs matches shall apply.

10.  In case of a batsman getting injured and not being able to continue the batting, he will be deemed to have lost his wicket.

11.  The preliminary rounds will be played on a league basis. Each team plays 2 matches. The top 2 teams based on points followed by NRR shall qualify for the finals.

12.  Points shall be awarded as follows: 3 points for a win, 1 point each for a tied match. In addition one bonus point will be awarded if: • The team that is batting second scores the runs in 27 balls or less. • The team that is bowling second wins the match & restricts the opposing team     to less than 75% of their score.

13.  In case of a tie in the Final with the scores being the same then there would be a “Super Over” Each team will nominate three batsmen and a bowler who will compete in a one over match.

14.  The teams must report to the registration desk 30 minutes before the start of the match.

15.  Although adequate safety precautions have been taken and medical facilities will be available to treat any injuries sustained while playing, we will not be held responsible and liable for the same and the players will be playing at their own risk.

16.  Interpretation of these Rules & Conditions, their construction and effect rests entirely with the Organizing Committee.

All decisions taken by the Associations' Committee will be final and binding on all the participants.
