Soumyabrata Das (he/him) is a 20-year-old vocalist and recent English Literature graduate with a lifelong passion for music. Growing up in a Bengali household filled with classical singers and tabla players, he began learning to sing at the age of 5. Though classically trained, his musical horizons expanded as he discovered icons like Beyoncé and Mariah Carey, sparking a journey into diverse genres including pop, R&B, and soul. Soumyabrata became known in Deshbandhu College’s western music society, Sopranos, as the tenor who effortlessly commanded attention, notably with his swagger-filled rap verse of Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass.
