Event Information
Pangsau Pass Challenge is an adventure road cycling event that offers a unique opportunity for competitive cycling players to test their endurance.
The 1st edition of the event in 2021 was a grand success. It was attended by participants from J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The route planned for the expedition will touch the famous and historical “Stilwell Road” and other important tourist destinations in the state viz. Pasighat, Dambuk, Namdapha National Park, Golden Pagoda and World War Cemetery in Jairampur. Camps for the expedition will be set up so that the participants can explore the places along the 4 day ride.
This expedition is an attempt to explore the potential of adventure tourism through cycling and camping in important places of Arunachal Pradesh. Through this event, we want to encourage youngsters and create awareness about cycling as a hobby or career. We also want to promote these beautiful places of historic importance
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PANGSAU PASS CHALLENGE 2022
- All Riders Must have CFI license to participate in Pangsau Pass Challenge 2022.
- All participants have to bring their own bicycles.
- All participants need to make advance registration fees of Rs 4000/-. (online ) which includes food and accommodation during the event.
- The minimum age of participation is 14 years and above
- There is no TA/DA
GENERAL RACING RULES
- Race numbers must be displayed on the handlebars of the bicycle No competitor shall cut. fold, mutilate, apply stickers to or alter in any way the number plate. Numbers are not transferable
- You must not use offensive or abusive language during the race, act in any anti sporting manner, be disrespectful to the event volunteers/officials, or ignore the race regulations.
- Deviation from the marked course will result in disqualification unless the competitor re-enters the course at the point of exit.
- You are not permitted to willingly alter the course in any way without first consulting with the race officials. This includes moving rocks, logs, tape, or other natural obstacles.
- The race may be stopped by the race director in case of severe injury to a rider or life-threatening weather.
- If you pull out of a race (DNF) you must notify the timing station or closest course marshal.
CLOTHING & EQUIPMENT
- All participants have to bring their own bicycles.
- All bikes must be in good operating condition with properly working brakes.
- All bikes must bar plugs/bar ends on the handlebars
- All participants must wear fully enclosed shoes
- All participants must wear a properly secured helmet at all times during competition as well as when pre-riding or warming up on the course ( Helmets complying to DOT or CPSC Standards is recommended)
