Introduction
Teaching Case- Studies has become an essential part of today’s classroom teaching. Outcomes of Case-Study teaching makes Class-Room Discussions more engaging, students are prepared for real-life corporate realities/issues, learning becomes multi-dimensional and inter-disciplinary.
Objectives
The participants through this FDP should:
• Develop an appreciation of the case method in the teaching of Management and Social Sciences;
• Become aware of background preparation required to become successful case teachers;
• Get insights into the process of managing classroom discussions; and
• Get motivated to use the case method of teaching in appropriate learning contexts.
Who Should Attend
This FDP is designed for current and prospective teachers in academic institutions and corporate trainers. This FDP will benefit: (a) all those teachers who are new to the case-based teaching; and (b) even those teachers who have case teaching experience, but want to further improve their case teaching effectiveness. The workshop will also be useful to the research scholars who intend to join the teaching profession in due course of time.

Resource Person
Dr Neeraj Pandey is Associate Professor of Marketing at NITIE, Mumbai. He has published case studies in Asian Case Research Journal, Emerald Emerging Markets Case Studies, Ivey Publishing, South Asian Journal of Business and Management Cases, The Case Centre and Case Unit of IIM Ahmedabad besides a case study Book with Pearson. His research and teaching interests are pricing, digital marketing, B2B marketing and services marketing.
What you will get
Proper hand-holding from Scratch to Finish on Case Writing and Teaching.
Participants will be divided into homogenous groups to undertake a topic for publishing a Case.
After completion of the FDP of three days, Dr Pandey will personally mentor groups with follow-ups and will help in publishing all quality Cases in The Case Centre (https://www.thecasecentre.org/) which holds the world’s largest and most diverse collection of management cases, articles and teaching materials.
