In power transmission & distribution, the power transformer undertakes the essential tasks of voltage conversion and power distribution. Failure of transformer affects the stability of the power grid system and if the fault is severe, it may affect a large area with prolonged power failure, paralyzing traffic, interrupting communication, causing other inconvenience to people and shutdown of various industrial units. Thus transformer plays an important role in ensuring the availability of an uninterrupted and reliable power supply. The management of such vital assets, when they are in service as well as when they have outlived their expected life, is a challenging task. The proper design or Specification of the Transformer also plays a vital role in ensuring a long life of the transformer as faulty design may lead to early failure of equipment.

Over the years transformer technologies have evolved considerably to meet the emerging requirements of utilities and enhance power system reliability. Rapid changes and developments are being witnessed in the design, manufacturing and condition monitoring technologies of transformers. The technological leap is likely to continue in the forthcoming years along with increasing power and voltage ratings of transformers deployed in transmission systems.

Call for Paper/ Case Studies:

Technical papers/ case studies are invited from industry professionals, engineers and academics on any of the theme topics or any relevant topic for presentation during the conference. Experts/ Authors are requested to submit the abstract not exceeding 300 words on or before 31st Aug 2022. The submitted abstract will be evaluated by the technical committee and if the abstract is accepted the participant will have to submit the full text of the paper. All the selected papers will be published in the Nov 2022 edition of Smart Energy Magazine. Upon payment of the registration fee, your presentation will be confirmed.
