New Year Kedarkantha Trekking & Camping

If you are looking for an adventurous summit trek in winters then Kedarkantha trek is one of them. The max altitude you will be reaching in this trek is around 12,500ft (3810m). Kedarkantha is located within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary in Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand. The trek starts from a small village called Sankri, from the summit you will have a grand views of 13 majestic Himalayan peaks. The thing that make Kedarkantha trek special from all other treks are its beautiful campsites and 360º view of mountains from the summit.If you are planning your first trek in Himalayas than it’s just a perfect trek to start with. The best time to visit Kedarkantha is from November to April as the trek is covered in snow but it is going to amaze you round the year.

• The journey starts from Dehradun early morning and it takes about 8-9 hours to reach Sankri.
• Sankri is a small village located in the Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand.
• Kedarkantha is one of the best winter trek in India.
• Enjoy your evening by exploring Sankri, from where you get a beautiful view of Swargarohini peak.
• Sankri is base camp for Har Ki Dun and Bali Pass trek.
• Overnight stay in a guest house at Sankri 

Day 2 – Sankri - Juda ka Talab (4 km | 5 hours | Altitude 9100 feet)

• Wake up early morning freshen up and have a healthy breakfast and tea.
• Start your trek from Sankri and reach Juda ka Talab. The campsite is located near the Juda ka Talab.
• Enjoy your Trek as you can see the majestic Swargarohini, Banderpunch and Kalanag peak.
• The unending green pastures up till the Himalayas make for the amazing sight and this is its highlight and hence it is one of the best Himalayan treks. If you are going in winters it will be all covered in snow.
• Overnight stay in the camps

Day 3 – Juda ka Talab to Kedarkantha Base Camp (4 km | 3 hours | Altitude 11,250 feet)

• Wake up early morning freshen up and have a healthy breakfast and tea.
• From the Juda ka Talab, the trekking starts towards Kedarkantha Base Camp.
• Kedarkantha base camp is one of the most beautiful camp sites.
• The trekkers will cross pathways of pine and oak trees in the green pastures of the land (in winters it’s all covered in snow).
• Overnight stay in the camps.

Day 4 – Kedarkantha Base Camp to the Kedarkantha Peak and then back to Juda ka Talab (5 km | 6 hours | 12,500 feet)

• Finally the summit day comes wake up super early freshen up and have a healthy breakfast and tea.
• The trek starts early to view the beautiful sunrise at the peak. After spending a good amount of time here, the journey is backward towards the Juda ka Talab .
• Overnight stay in the camps at Juda Ka Talaab.

Day 5 – Juda ka Talaab to Sankri

• Wake up early morning, freshen up and have breakfast and tea.
• Trek down to Sankri
• Overnight stay at homestay in sankri

Day 6 – Sankri to Dehradun

• Have breakfast and start your journey back to Dehradun
• We will reach Dehradun by late evening .

• All the meals from Dinner of Day1 to Breakfast of Day 6 will be provided.
• Camping accommodation in the tents/guest house

Cancellation Policy

• If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• If cancellations are made within 0-30 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
• In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be cancelled and in such cases the our service partner will try his best to provide an alternate feasible activity.
• For all the above choices, you can transfer your tickets to your friends. We would be more than happy to have them on board and you could save your hard earned money.
