Navigating New Media - Editing for OTT
The workshop specifically focuses on the craft and workflow of editing long and short format content for OTT, including direct-to digital films, webseries, short films and anthologies. As a child Antara Lahiri was mesmerised by the black and white images of 90s Doordarshan and Russian folktales at the Calcutta Book Fair. As a professional editor now, she spends her time stitching together stories for feature films, webseries and television commercials. She has conducted workshops at FTII (Pune), NID (Ahmedabad) and Harkisan Mehta Institute of Media (Mumbai).
Friday February 05, 6PM, 2021 on Zoom Video Call. A 40 minutes only Zoom Video workshop, will be followed with a 20 minutes Q&A.

For the Workshop, it is mandatory to watch the following before coming online: “Yeh Ballet” (Netflix) OR “Shakuntala Devi” (Amazon Prime Video) from the perspective of Direct-To-Digital releases “Four More Shots Please” (Amazon Prime Video) OR “Bard of Blood” (Netflix) to understand the web series format and workflow better. The anthology series “Unpaused”, specifically the segment “Rat-A-Tat” to get an insight into cutting short films for anthologies. “Sepia” (Large Short Films channel on YouTube) for short film editing.
