Details: The consort of Lord Shiva who adorns her head with a half moon (hence the name Chandra Ghanta - the moon that looks like a bell). Her vehicle is the tigress which denotes fearlessness and courage. She is depicted with ten hands carrying weapons that signify protection, lotus, japa mala (prayer beads), kamandalu (water pot) that signify penance; and one hand blessing and the other dispensing boons.
