 Nandur Madhmeshwar Bird Sanctuary is located at Niphad Tehsil of Nashik District, known as the Bharatpur of Maharashtra. The sanctuary is located 40kms away from Nashik. Nandur Madhmeshwar lake serves as a reservoir and holds the water coming from Gangapur and Darana. The lake also originates as a home for vegetation due to the deposition of silt and organic matter every year. There are plenty of reasons to visit Nandur Madhmeshwar and they are - It's a home for both residents as well as migrating birds. It houses around 230 species of birds.

 The birds mainly found are Vultures, Eagles, Kites, Black Ibis, Quails, Sand pipe etc. For wild life, there are around 24 species of fishes found in lake and apart from that Mangoose and snakes are also spotted and then there is vegetation done in this region. It again houses around 460 types of plants out of which 80 are aquatic plants. The trees like Babul, Neem, Tamarind, Jamun etc are also found here.
