BDG LifeSciences, operating in India as BDG LifeSciences (OPC) Pvt. Ltd., and in collaboration with BBR PTY LTD. in Australia, is a distinguished bioinformatics company specializing in the facilitation of workshops, training sessions, innovative research projects, and online courses within the realm of bioinformatics technologies. Established in 2010, the company has been actively engaged in the field, holding registrations under the Ministry of MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises), Government of India, with the registration number UDYAM-UP-01-0019151. Over the years, BDG LifeSciences has successfully imparted knowledge to a diverse array of participants worldwide, including students, scientists, faculty members, professors, and corporate executives.
As we believe in a different way of learning which is HANDS-ON PRACTICAL SESSIONS our workshops are unique because participants perform on their own computer/laptop on software/servers, so it is 100 % practical application of technology which is the main reason of BEING A LEADER in the sector for the last 13 years.

We have launched a 2-day technical online training program on Machine Learning in Chemoinformatics & Drug Design. This 2 day, hands-on training course will focus on the use of efficient technologies with HANDS-ON practical application where participants will perform on their own computer system.
Video recording of each session will be provided at the end of the session to give the user a unique learning experience. On successful completion of the course participation certificate will be awarded.

RESOURCE PERSON
Salma Jamal, Ph.D. is a DHR-Young Scientist and her research has circled around mining enormous diverse biological data and identify & prioritize previously unknown relationships and new strategies that would enable solving various disease-associated problems.
She is an expert in using various bioinformatics and cheminformatics methods to identify molecules with biological activities from diverse chemical libraries. She used the Crowdsourcing approach to perform data analysis and Crowd Computing for Cheminformatics (2C4C), to develop predictive models for almost all the significant confirmatory screens available on PubChem.
During her Ph.D., she carried computational work including molecular dynamics simulations, generated machine learning-based models for activity prediction, prediction of adverse drug reactions, identification of disease-associated mutations, and prediction of disease-associated genes. She has also used long-range molecular dynamics (MD) simulations to explore the effects of urea and TMAO in regulating the conformational properties focusing on the structural aspect of α-synuclein peptide, which is intrinsically disordered in its monomeric form.
Further, she has also performed Long-range replica exchange molecular dynamics guided drug repurposing against tyrosine kinase PtkA of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb). Her recent work is focused on developing an updated database comprising almost all reported substitutions within the M.tb drug target genes rpoB, inhA, katG, pncA, gyrA, and gyrB. This was followed by evaluating the impact of these mutations on the binding affinity of the drugs to target proteins. She is also a part of the team which has developed a comprehensive online resource named MycoTRAP-DB that connects mutations in genes with their structural, functional, and pathogenic implications on protein.
She joined as a Technical Associate at BDG Lifesciences and now conducts training, workshop, and research projects on topics of her expertise.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
