An evening of a deep dive into Purandara Dasa’s life & songs

Sri Purandara Dasa was a great devotee of Lord Krishna, a poet and a musician. He is considered as the father of Carnatic Music

He is said to have composed around 475,000 songs, in Kannada and Sanskrit. Only about a 1000 are available now. Purandara Dasa’s songs express his love for Lord Narayana, especially Sri Krishna. He sings of various aspects of Sri Krishna’s life.

Bali: a man with many genres of music under his belt. Rock’n’roll, pop, Rock, Heavy metal, Bollywood, Folk songs & bhajans in Kannada. A high energy singer. Has been learning Hindustani vocals for 10 years. Presently under the tutelage of Pandit Kashinath Pattar a student of Pandit Puttaraja Gawai. Has many temple & public performances to his credit

Harshitha Srinivas

Harshitha is a Carnatic singer from Karnataka who has been singing since the age of 8, completed her junior level in Carnatic singing and currently perusing her senior level.

She was inspired by her mother. Listening to her neighbors practice Carnatic Sangeetha in her childhood made her passionate about singing.

She is currently very anxious about her debut in Bangalore as an artist.
