Clay modelling is an art and craft, which involves work with pliable materials such as clay , paper pulp , or soft stones. The object of modelling is to create an original piece of artwork in miniature, either by hand or through the use of moulds . Such pieces are typically used for display purposes. Other terms for such models include miniatures and construction toys.
Learn the art of clay modelling on a ceramic mug. You will be learning how to choose the right type of clay , how to colour the clay , fundamentals of clay modelling, designing , texturing and how to seal to your work . So let’s get started with it…

Materials required
1.Clay Mug
2. Thai clay or air dry clay( available in amazon or buy from https://www.crafterscorner.in )
3. Oil paints, if not available acrylic paints – Red, white, sap green, black, burnt sienna or skin colour , gold paint
4. Paper cutter, toothpick, small ball tool (optional)
5. Fabric glue or fevicol
6. Vaseline
7. Ohp sheet or any plastic/wood flat surface to roll on clay.
8. Rolling pin
9. Ceramic coffee mug, preferably black.
10.air tight containers
11. Zip lock cover/ cling wrap
