Kokankada Trek- Flower's special

Grade: Easy 

Every year after the monsoon season, wild flowers decorate the plateau of Kokankada giving it an unique view. It is a dream destination for avid botanists, photographers and all those who appreciate nature.

Harishchandragad is the most scenic location of Maharashtra. The major attraction here is KokanKada cliff which is not just vertical, it is an overhang like a cobra's hood. It’s beyond description and one must see it to experience nature's architecture.

18:00 - Assemble at Andheri and start travelling in a private bus. Pickup from JVLR, Thane, etc.

22:00 - Dinner at Dhaba

 

02:30 - Reach Pachnai. 

05:00 - Introduction and trek briefing. Start trekking towards Kokankada

07:30 - Explore Kokankada and have breakfast. 

09:30 - Explore the temples and caves of Harishchandragad

10:30 - Start descending to Pachnai

12:30 - Have lunch at Pachnai

14:00 - Depart for Mumbai

21:00 - Reach Mumbai

 - Bus from Mumbai to Pachnai and back

 - Breakfast, lunch and refreshments

 - Expertise and guidance

 

 - Bottled water/cold drinks

 - Dinner on Saturday night

 - Anything not mentioned above

 

 - 2 litre water (preferably in personal reusable bottles)

 - A torch (other than mobile)

 - Good trekking shoes or sport shoes

 - Bedsheet

 - A double strap bag. Sling bag not allowed in trek

 - We appreciate people carrying juice packets and fruits like pears, pomegranate, dates etc.
