Koh Samui - Offbeat Thailand

Arrive at Bangkok airport, complete the immigration formalities & meet your tour buddy along with the group, followed by connecting domestic flight to Koh Samui. Upon arrival at Koh Samui check-in at the hotel & enjoy a leisurely beach walk.

Day 2: Temple Hopping and Bophut

Post breakfast, we will visit the incredible local sights of Koh Samui. The first stop will be the will be Wat Plai Laem, which is a Buddhist temple. This temple features a massive statue of Guanyin, who is the Goddess of Mercy and Compassion, and one of a fat laughing Chinese Buddha that represents wealth.

The second stop will be the Big Buddha Temple, known locally as Wat Phra Yai. It is a temple that sits on a small island just off the north-eastern coast and gets its English name from the 12-meter tall golden Buddha statue that dominates the temple.

After temples, it is time to hit Bophut Beach. This beach is located near the Big Buddha. Bophut Beach stretches for miles and offers crystal clear waters and fewer people than most touristy beaches of Thailand. Also checkout the fisherman's village.

Day 3: Relax at Chaweng Beach & Explore Chaweng

By now we have had two long days. So have a lazy breakfast and start your relaxed day, spend the day getting tanned on the Chaweng beach and taking a dip in the lovely warm sea. Check out the hip beach clubs offering food and drink all day long, and most of the night too!

Shop for souvenirs for your friends & family in the local markets, & get a Thai massage (own cost).

Day 4: Day trip to Ang Thong National Park

Ang Thong Marine Park is an archipelago of 42 islands in the Gulf of Thailand. It’s home to an incredibly diverse landscape with limestone cliffs as high as 400 metres and is a must-visit if you’re in the area. This is one of the most beautiful places in Thailand.

It’s about two hours of sailing to get to Ang Thong National Park. First on the itinerary is Koh Wua Talap which is a hike up to the viewpoint for some amazing pictures for your Instagram. This walk is not for the faint of heart, but it’s definitely worth it. There is a path that can take you as high as 500 meters above sea level with incredible views. Remember to bring sneakers on the trip, you’ll need them for this little hike.

After lunch, the second stop is Mae Koh Island, where you can find an inland saltwater lagoon called Emerald Lake (Thale Nai). There is again a small hike up to get the best views. (Easier than the first hike). The day then ends with the trip back to Koh Samui, at sunset.

Day 5: Bangkok

Post breakfast, we take the morning flight back to Bangkok.

Reach your hotel, freshen up, and you have half a day free for shopping. At around 5 pm, we will visit Asiatique : The Riverfront. It is a combination of 2 of the most popular shopping experiences in the city: a night bazaar and a mall. The once-bustling international trade port has over 1,500 boutiques and 40 restaurants within a huge replica warehouse complex. Open from 5 pm, spending an evening here is quite fun. You’ll have a good time browsing the boutiques, picking up gifts or something for yourself. If this isn’t enough entertainment, shows are performed nightly.

Day 6: Goodbye hugs & drop to airport
