About Kataldhar and rapelling:

Rappelling & Trekking are two different aspects of adventure. Rappelling is technique in which we descend down the rock cliffs using rope and other mountaineering equipment’s with 100 % safety.

Kataldhar is the name of a big waterfall near Lonavala in Pune district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Water is not available there for the whole year, but a good amount of water falls during the monsoon season. Though it is difficult to reach to the valley there is a heaven at the end of the fall.

You can pause a moment and can experience the beauty of valley while taking bath in chilled water while rappelling.

In Monsoon Lonavala becomes the Hot Destination for all the Trekkers, But Apart from the routine places “Kataldhar Waterfall Trek ” gives us the immense pleasure of Trekking. “Katal” means a Rock & “Dhar” means a Waterfall. Now Imagine you are Rappelling from the top of waterfall. After Reaching the Base of Valley you will be surprised by the Gigantic waterfalls of Kataldhar. Enjoy the Waterfall.(This is a Natural Waterfall, Totally depend on Rains.)

 

EVENT SCHEDULE :

 

07.00 am - Leave pune after all pickup point.

09.00 am - Reach Base Village at Kataldhar Waterfall. Have locally prepared breakfast. 10.00 am - Introduction about the do and don’t’s. And start about 2hrs. ascending trek.

12.00 pm - Move to Rappelling base. Instructions and principles of rappelling. Short lessons from certified Instructors.

12.90 pm - Start Rappelling one by one .

05.00 pm - Finish Rappelling and wind up and have Lunch.

09.30 pm – Reach Pune (+/- 1 Hour).

PICK UP STARTS AT 6:00 AM (Following are the pickup points)

SHIVAJINAGAR – 6:15 AM (Next to bank of Maharashtra) 

NASHIK PHATA - 6.30 AM

PIMPRI - 6.35 AM

CHINCHWAD - 6.40 AM

NIGADI - 6.45 AM
