About Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2021:

India is a land of unity in diversity where people of diverse religion, tradition, culture, languages and heritage live together in a single country. India is also called the land of unity in diversity because the different groups of people co-operate with each other to live in a single society. Unity in diversity has also become strength of India.

Thus, to maintain the nation's unity and to acknowledge Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's efforts in uniting the nation, National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is celebrated every year.

When is Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrated?

National Unity Day or Rashtriya Ekta Diwas is observed on October 31 every year. The day was introduced in 2014 by the Government of India to mark the birth anniversary of Iron Man of India - Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

In memory of the first Deputy Prime Minister of independent India- Sardar Patel, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Government of India has constructed a huge statue of the Iron Man of India near the Narmada River in Gujarat.

Significance of National Unity Day

In 2014 the Home Ministry of India, in the official statement stated that National Unity Day "will provide an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country."

Every year, on this day, people remember the great works of Sardar Patel and celebrate National Unity Day by organising different events, webinars and seminars.

1. Kaizen 2021 will be a two-day event starting on 30th October at 05:00 hrs and ending on 31st October at 23:59 hrs.
2. You can run either on the 30th October or 31st October and need to submit your data just once.
3. Runners can run solo, Indoor or Outdoor as per the local lockdown norms.
4. If your pace is irregular in between KM's or overall pace beyond normal records then the same cannot be considered for the race.
5. Runners can run a distance of 2KM, 5KM, 10KM, 21KM. 
6. Runners can record their run using a mobile phone with apps like Strava, Garmin, Nike Run Club. 
7. Run data to be submitted through a dedicated form link which you will receive in your ticket confirmation mail once you will register.
8. Run data can be submitted from 30th October 05:00 hrs to 1st November 12:00 hrs post that no more run data will be accepted.
9. Runners will receive the certificate mentioning the actual distance covered by them.
10. Please ensure that you are running the distance chosen by you.
11. If you are running a lesser distance, than the chosen distance, your name will not appear on the leaderboard (A buffer of 0.2 Km will be considered)

Terms and Conditions:

1. The run must be completed within the specified time.
2. Once you successfully register, you will receive a confirmation mail to your registered email id which has the link to submit the data embedded in it.
3. The run data must be submitted through the google form only. Sharing the data via email will not be considered.
4. While submitting the data, you will receive a copy of the same. Please fill the form only once to avoid discrepancies.
5. In the google form, kindly do not change the fields which are already prefilled.  
6. You can run more than the selected distance but for the leader board purpose, we will scale down your distance and time to the nearest KM's milestone based on your overall pace. Example A has completed 21.5 KM in 01:55:35, On the leader board it will show 21 KM in 01:52:54
7. If you have opted for the deliverables, you will receive it within a month post-event.
