Jog Falls , Gerosoppa Falls or Joga Falls is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India, Located in Sagara taluka, these segmented falls are a major tourist attraction. They are also called Gersoppa Falls and Jogada Gundi.

It is located on the Shimoga and Uttara Kannada district border.

Jog Falls is created by the Sharavathi River dropping 253 m (830 ft), making it the second-highest plunge waterfall in India after the Nohkalikai Falls with a drop of 335 m (1100 ft) in Meghalaya.

Murudeshwara Temple

Murudeshwara is a town in the Bhatkal Taluk of Uttara Kannada district in the state of Karnataka, India. “Murudeshwara” is another name of the Hindu god Shiva. Famous for the world’s second-tallest Shiva statue, Murudeshwara beach town lies on the coast of the Arabian Sea and is also famous for the Murudeshwara Temple. The nearest airport to Murudeshwar is Mangalore International Airport at distance of 160 kilometre .Murudeshwar has railway station on Konkan railway route.

Get down at Kumta by 11AM, Travel to Jog falls by Private Vehicle

11:00 am - Reach Kumta

11:15 am - Leave for Jog Falls,Road trip in between Greenery 

02:00 pm - Check in hotel,Fresh n Up n Leave for Jog Fall

02.30 pm – Lunch at Jog falls 

03:30 pm – Enjoy the View of Jog Fall 

05:30 pm – Reach hotel and Relax

07:00 pm – Move towards Light & Sound Show at Jog Fall

08.30 pm – Local South Indian Cuisine and Mafia Game

10.30 pm – Go to Sleep Good Night

 Day 2

06.00 – Wake Up call…!! Get up and Fresh have breakfast One can walk around 

07.30 – Move towards Murudeshwar Beach and Temple 

09.30 – Reach Murudeshwar Temple and Explore the Longest statue of Shiva

10.30 – Move towards Beach and Enjoy

02:00 pm - Lunch time

03:00 pm - If time permit we can visit Mirjan Fort or Kumta Beach

05:00 pm - Catch 12620/ Matsyagandha Express

Day 3: 

05:53 am : Reach Thane Station

06:35 am : Reach LTT Station

Things to carry

Identity proof (must)

Some ready to eat food. Plum cakes, Biscuits etc.(optional)

A bottle of water (at least 2 Ltrs) Compulsory

TORCH with extra batteries Cap, etc.

Medicine those if u require usually (Optional)

Camera(Optional)

A good trekking shoes, extra pair of floaters, extra clothes.

A haversack to put in all the things to be carried so that one has ones hands free while trekking.

Pleases do not carry sling bags or Jholas.

Please avoid wearing Gold and other ornaments. 

Rains are expected, so pack your bags accordingly to save them from getting wet. Double pack your valuables in plastic bags.
