Indo-Russian Friendship Celebration (IRFC) 2020 commemorates the unique bonhomie of Russia and India as the two nations showcase their arts, culture, cuisines, music, dance, folk styles, literature & shared history. Organized under the patronage of Embassy of Russia in India, at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts, by Exhibitions India Group: IRFC 2020 is an effort to strengthen Indo-Russian ties by promoting an exchange of culture and business synergies.
Indo-Russian Friendship Celebration felicitates progressive development of the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership between India and Russia. These relations are unique, confiding and mutually beneficial by nature, encompassing all possible areas of cooperation.
The Indo-Russian strategic partnership has been built traditionally on five major components: politics, defence, civil nuclear energy, anti-terrorism co-operation and space. A sixth aspect of economic growth has arisen, as the two countries set a target of growth in bilateral trade from about USD 9.4 billion in 2017 to USD 30 billion in 2025. The two countries are looking to develop a free trade agreement in order to achieve this goal.
IRFC is an endeavour to commemorate the similar civilizational values, time-tested friendship, mutual understanding, trust, common interests and proximity of approaches to the fundamental issues of development and economic progress adopted by Russia and India.
