About the mentor: Mr. Sunil Tej
Sunil Tej is the founder of Gulpie, which is building the world's first decentralised food discovery solution. He is a product/growth expert with 10 years of experience building successful products at early-stage startups across India, US, Germany, UK, and Africa.
Sunil was the first product/growth hire at HackerRank, India's first YCombinator (S11) startup. There, he built 100+ Hacker Clubs by starting a campus ambassador program to help acquire the first 200,000 programmers. During this time, Sunil also conceptualized the first version of the gamification system to boost developer engagement. He coined 'Hackos', points earned by solving programming challenges on HackerRank.
As his last stint before founding Gulpie, Sunil worked with Juniqe (Berlin), Europe's largest art eCommerce platform, where he was the second product hire—helped scale the business from $1m to $25m ARR. Sunil also built the first mobile web application for Cuponation (Munich), the world's largest couponing site and one of the most successful Rocket Internet ventures.
