Matheran has garnered a reputation of one of the most favorite hill-stations in Maharashtra for some reasons. The bountiful rains, good greenery and waterfalls around. Garbett Plateau is located in the south – west direction of Matheran, offering a 360 degree view of one of our alltime favorite hill stations. Matheran is Famous & splendid hill station in Maharashtra, it covers an area of 8 square kilometers in Sahyadris. This Fantastic spot was discovered in 1850 by Hugh Poyntz Malet, the collector of Thane district. Garbett point is located on South-west side of Matheran with grand view of the plateau. Climate here is very cool with some breath taking views.

8. Trek Pants or Trousers – Feel the comfort
9. Cap or Hat – Get in the shade
10. Sunscreen, Sunblock’s, and Lip balms – Prevent the sunburns
11. Medical Kit – Personal Medicines if any
12. Extra Clothes – A Pair of Extra Clothes
Do’s & Don’ts during Treks
1) Do not throw Garbage & Plastic.
2) Use Call sign “Aayo” ‘Oyee” incase if you are not in visible distance to the group
3) Alert group against any falling object / rock – Recommended
call sign “Watch Out”
4) Avoid wandering alone or click Selfie’s near the edge of an exposed valley.
5) Do not eat or pluck any fruits from the forest without the permission of your trek leader. The same could be poisonous.
6) Do not provoke or harm any animals, birds or honey bees.
7) Do not jump into a water body without the permission of your trek leader.
8) Do not Litter Around or near a water source.
9) Smoking & Alcohol consumption is strictly not allowed in any event of RnT Trekkers.
