About TIE

TiE Bangalore was the first step towards TiE’s presence in the country. Started in 1999 with Mr. Nandan Nilekani as its first President, the sole mission of the chapter has been to make Bangalore the “Start-Up Capital” of the country. Under the leadership of many industry stalwarts like Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, Ashok Soota, B.V. Naidu, Dr. Sridhar Mitta, Pradeep Kar, Naganand Doraswamy and Ravi Gururaj the Chapter has grown from about 190 members with 9 Charter members in 1999 to over 500 members and 120 Charter Members today.

The activities of the Chapter increased considerably over the years and today TiE Bangalore conducts over 65 events a year in the form of regular monthly Networking meetings, TiE Institute Workshops, Investor connects, Enterprise connects, special events, Mentoring sessions, TiE Startup Mixers, My Story sessions and Forum meetings in IoT, Retail, EdTech, Social, Deep Tech & Women Entrepreneurship. - https://bangalore.tie.org/
