Introduction : Our ancestors had very basic equipment to their exposure, but they certainly had a pool of talent that has lead us to have a beautiful history culturally and artistically. Learn the techniques and history of Kerala Mural, Alpana and Madhubani art during this 6 day workshop with trained BAFA artisans. Learn the folk art that defines some parts of India, to ensure the legacy is kept alive.
Things you will require during the course: Laptop / Desktop / Phone / Tablet access along with good internet connection. The link to the class will be shared once you enroll for the course. Colorful and White Drawing Sheets, Pens (Colorful Pen, brush pens, white marker) and Pencils along with Eraser and Sharpeners.
What will you learn during 6 days Workshop. You will learn 3 types of art styles - Kerala Mural, Alpana and Madhubani. Introduction to Kerala Mural, Alpana and Madhubani art styles and artworks created by artists in the past. The history associated with each art style and how the motifs, themes as well as patterns speak distinctly about the art style. Important techniques to keep in mind about each art style and nuances that will enhance the painting. Participants will be guided step by step to create their own painting in all 3 folk styles.
